Individual Counselling
We all have difficulty at times in our lives. We are overwhelmed,
overworked, have too much on our plate. We go through grieving;
relationship crises; teenage challenges; etc. Very often going
to a therapist helps put things into perspective; provides tools
to work more effectively with; helps us to understand where the
other might be coming from and thus enables us to find resolutions
more effectively.
Sometimes as individuals, we just feel stuck. Life isn't what
we want or expected it to be; we are not really depressed but
feel that we are not going anywhere. Therapists can often help
us to understand how we create our own stumbling blocks. They
can help us become aware of the lenses that we interpret life
through or the mind tapes that we feed to ourselves that keep
us stuck. They can help us create new lenses; new coping mechanisms
or different defense mechanisms that allow us to move forward.
